The US Department of Justice (DOJ) issued their report on the collaborative review conducted of the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD).


     The DOJ's Community Oriented Policing Services Office has completed their initial report on the San Francisco Police Department. The report focuses on five issue areas, including

  1. Use of Force
  2. Bias
  3. Community Policing
  4. Accountability
  5. Hiring and Personnel Practices


     The report includes findings and recommendations in these five areas. The full report can be viewed at the following link:

     The SFPD has created an email address to collect feedback on the Collaborative Review Report. The comments will be received by the Professional Standards and Principled Policing Bureau for review and tracking. The following email address is for feedback:

 All members of the SFPD will be required to read this document. 

 The SFPD seeks to encourage positive community dialogue around the reform efforts within the SFPD and to solicit feedback to support the best practice of co-produced policing.
